Here is the problem: I bought it on a whim to play at my parents' house while I was back there on the weekend. I don't actually own a Windows machine of my own, so I can't play it here! :O Though as I'm a filthy college student, I'll be mooching off them for the summer, so that is when I am going to get my Guild Wars on.

It is hard going back to WoW after a weekend of sweet, sweet Guild Wars. It is hard.

It's also hard to play WoW when you can't afford the $12 a month :(

It's also hard to play WoW when the players are mostly cocks, and you have to run the same five instances over and over and over for the good drops, just to try and find an uber guild to do the raid instances with.

WoW was fun for about a week after I hit 60, then I got sick of doing the same four instances, and PvP isn't exciting to me. And WoW is 15 a month, I think.

I bought a gamecard, and then the next week stopped playing... and the week after that my girlfriend quit too. I'm looking into Guild Wars though... it kinda sounds like PSO, and it's free.

So, i hopped into a guild the other day and they use team speak. Also on their teamspeak server is another guild. Let me just say WOW. Listening to these guys while they play is amazingly cool. Not only is it intense hearing their strategies play out while they're in the hall of heroes but i pickup on a lot of shit too. It made me realise how much more this game is then just an mmorpg.

Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones..

So, i thought this game was tough and intimidating at first, with the whole "character dies they're dead forever" thing too.. But then i opened up the first tower where you can get a hit, take your exp then retreat, repeat and level up without worries. So i did that, then blasted through the game.

A few "glitches," the regular stellar FE gameplay and the best battle animations/sprites i've ever seen, besides becoming really easy, the game is great!

Biggest problem, Seth bulldozes through everthing, throughout the whole game. I know he needs to be godlike to stay alive because he's a big part of the story, but it's rediculous how strong this guy is..

Jak and Daxter - PS2

It is a slightly above average platformer with some slight control and camera issues. Not a bad game in the least, but it falls near the bottom of this generations 3D platforming pack. Great voice acting and a quick play through.

Jak and Daxter 2 - PS2

Take the first game, combine it with Grand Theft Auto, and add in a few guns and you have Jak 2. On paper I would think this game is horrible, but after playing it I am really liking it. Satfisying gun sounds and more great voice acting. Sadly the on foot (or car) "city" parts, while look neat, is fairly dissapointing and doesn't feel like the city is a living thing at all.

Wow, thank you. I thought that game was way overrated (but like you say, not bad or anything).

Rival Schools (PS1) - Honestly, this is the greatest fighting game I've ever played. It was among the first that implemented 3-D, the style seems to me like a cross between Guilty Gear and Street Fighter. The graphics don't hold up to modern standards, but still look great. The characters are balanced (range, strength, and speed) by the fantastic weapons, the team-up attacks are excellent, and I like the option of switching off to your secondary character after each round.

It is one of the few PS1 games that has held its value, currently around twenty dollars. It is both rare and an excellent game, so the price has been slowly increasing for the past couple years.

To say how fun it is, I'll say I played until my thumb blistered. Then I kept playing, until the blister popped. Then, I kept playing until the pus dried up. I played until my thumb started bleeding. Then I played a bit more.

And Rivals Schools is amazing, PLEASE tell me you have played Project Justice on Dreamcast.

I think a thread is in order...

I've played Project Justice, but didn't like it as much. Still a good game, I wish my bro hadn't taken the Dreamcast with him when he moved out.

Jak 3 - PS2

After playing the first two games back-to-back, Jak 3 is more of an expansion pack, or maybe Jak 2.5 than a real Jak 3. While still a great game, I was expecting more of a change or jump in quality.

Only gripes so far is it looks to be as short as the original game (finish it in sub 10 hours) and still NO STRAFE.

Xenosaga Episode I - has more in common with my much beloved Xenogears than i had expected, and that was my fault. i should have gotten this much earlier. it's fantastic.

Gungrave: Overdose - WHY DOES THE GAME GET SO HARD SOMETIMES EVEN ON EASY MODE?! AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG?!!!? horrible voice actors, kickass gameplay and graphixx and sound.
