|
|
This morning I updated the 50th page, a pretty big milestone for myself.
When I originally started zombie army, I was pretty comfortable with making comet 7. I was comfy with dropping some fat pixels, I was comfy with making up my silly jokes and puns, all around I knew the process and was in my safe zone.
Zombie army was NOT my safe zone.
I wasn't really sure how to go about creating a traditional styled comic, with lots of action, story, and evolving characters.
Most importantly I was totally freaked out about doing action sequences, even though I had been drawing and reading comics my entire life.
So I spent a month or so drawing rough characters sketches, sketching out rough page layouts, and doing lots of "action-esque" art for use in the comic. I also spent a lot of time fleshing out where I wanted the story to go.
I think all the planning paid off, as the first few pages turned out really well I felt, and the response was really good.
Looking back over the pages, I can see that my art has really evloved which was one of my most exciting prospects when I was starting the comic. Looking at the last 50 pages, I can't help but get excited for how the next 50 pages will turn out.
These last few updates have been some of my best yet, and I can't wait to get grinding out more and more pages.
I want to thank everyone again for reading, you cats are a huge part of where I find my inspiration and dedication to always get the updates done in time! _________________

great work. I like the energy of the comic.
my only gripe is I never get to see her cut anything up with a chainsaw. there was that bit with it at the beginning, but there was never any gas.
let's have some real blood and gore already. _________________ Matt White

I very much enjoy this comic. The art is fun and the story is cool.
My only gripe is totally selfish. The comic doesn't update often enough |

Kidnemo wishes he could update it more often, but it's not like he just has C7 to worry about. He has his own personal life and jobs too. Also, he puts a lot of work in KvZa and wouldn't have much time to put in any more at this point in time. But it's nice to know that he's responsible for all his comics and stuff, unlike some people we know... _________________ "America is all about speed. Hot, nasty, bad ass speed."
