Nah, then the whole body would be an extension of the brain. But then, they do eat most of the body.

| yes the whole body is an extension... but the eyes are a direct extension, as they grow directly out of our brains, and are pretty much just a part of out brain that see's stuff. |

Well, technically the eyes are organs connected to the brain via nerves. As is every other organ in the body. The eyes are just closer. And a little shinier.
