Combined we probably browse about a zillion videogame sites a day.

So I thought it would be neat to inject some life into this part of the forum by making a thread for us to post neat videogame news tidbits as we come across them.

For example this:

Down on the Wii version of Ghostbusters, are you? Think it's too casual, too cartoony for your tastes? That's because you're not in possession of all the facts. Red Fly - the dev team behind the Wii/PS2 version of the game - have said that in the Wii version, you'll be able to wirelessly connect your DS to the Wii and...use it as a PKE Meter.

That is awesome.

Post some neat videogame news!

New Prince of Persia is looking hella nice! The SF4 cel shading is neat and the game is starting to sound very SotC-y..

Quote:
- Player must unleash light-wells to heal the corrupted world, which shoots light into the sky, reminiscent of SotC and Okami.

- The transformation of the world is in real-time, with plants growing back to life as the world heals back and as the player can still move, instead of a mere cutscene, sky changes back to its normal color, etc., to give a strong sense of control and success to the player.

- No more time rewind and such.

I really want to like the r-type tactics game, but I'm just not sure about it. The reviews have been anything but positive. :/

Also, I am not one to wear a scarf, but I might wear this:

What can I say, my hair looks good dark.

Some super slick Pac-Man arts:

And this too:

Here's one future Wii Virtual Console update I cannot wait to write up. The ESRB has recently posted a rating for the classic Super Nintendo RPG EarthBound for the Nintendo Wii.

Shocked

You could just get your SNES out of your closet and play earthbound you know. I don't get how people can be excited about buying games they already know and probably already paid for once before.

Sure, I could do that.

But there are tons of people who can't do that because they don't have their SNES or the game anymore, or never played it in the first place.

The reason it's exciting though, atleast IMO, is that it coming out here shows that Nintendo hasn't totally forgot about the franchise and if it does well, maybe we'll get the other games translated and released here.

Haha, you mean Nintendo actually translating and releasing Earthbound titles?

Lies!

I like it when they bring old skool games back to the modern-day systems, especially the awesome RPGs that I fantasize about during my lonely days. It also gives the youngins these days a history lesson.
But I'll always be an SNES whore for life. I'll never forget the Christmas day we all opened up that Christmas package. ;_;

I still have never finished earthbound.

I like it, it's a fun game, but the generic gameplay just kinda wore thin for me about half way through.

Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger.

THERE is your epic SNES trilogy my frens!
