I just got it yesterday and it is so awesome. I've only done drums and vocals so far, but the guitar is pretty much just like GH anyways. my favourite part is at the end of some songs you get to do a crazy ending and just flip out on whatever instrument you're playing and get a HUGE bonus [but only if you hit the last few notes]
the character creation stuff is awesome too, there are soo many different clothing items to buy! you can even make your own tattoos/face paint.
anyway, has anyone else gotten it yet & your opinions? _________________ WHERE IS EVERYONE |

I so wish I had the money, as I have neither the game nor a ps3 or Xbox 360.
But I have been rockin' the demo at Best Buy nearly every time I go in.
And let me tell you, if i HAD the extra $570, a 360 and this game would be what I'd spend it on.

Really good, really fun.
Timing is weird though.
I miss the good ol' Harmonix GH.
I'd have to say that pretty much everyone lost out on the deal with both games though.
Rock Band is super-expansive and lots of fun, but some gameplay elements bore me and i don't quite like the way the notes come at you in the grid pattern.
At the same time, Neversoft mutilated Guitar Hero with generic artwork, ugly characters, shit guitar parts, and a few shitty songs. OH AND THE NEW LAYOUT SUCKS.
I want my meters back.
Rock Band = 9.9/10
GH3 = 4/10
imo. _________________ "America is all about speed. Hot, nasty, bad ass speed."

I still absolutely love GH3, but I do agree that a lot of it seems rather rushed and sloppy, some of the guitar parts seem to be specifically made to be cheap and extra hard, and the new art direction both blows and sucks.
But the gameplay holds up and I can't argue with the song list one bit (Dead Kennedys, White Zombie AND the Sex Pistols!?!?! I'm a happy camper!), and in the end, thats what makes GH3 (and the other GH games for that matter) worth playing.

I hate the new Sex Pistols song.
But then again, I'm assuming they've run out of drug money. _________________ "America is all about speed. Hot, nasty, bad ass speed."

I played this a few days ago at my friends, I only did drums but it was -so- much fun. I think that this game is awesome if only for the many instruments.
TIP: During guitar solo's, if you use the little buttons further down on the neck, you don't have to strum. It's to simulate some crazy guitar style. |
