-monopolistic practices
-go out of their way to slience anyone th at doesn't agree with them
-closed their official forums because people were critizing their business practices
-totally screw small independent hobby stores w/ how they handle product purchasing
-pretty much killed all online sales of their products other than their official store so they can more closely control pricing
-put out game updates every couple of years which invalidates all other source books, army lists, and some minis
-no longer really any non expandable wargames (space hulk, heroquest, etc) because there isn't enough profit in it.
-charge much higher prices per mini compared to other companies of comparable quality (warmachine = woot!)
So yea, those are just a few things off the top of my head. I really don't keep much up with them anymore.
I always wanted to try dawn of war though, never saw it used/cheap enough though.
Buy Warmachine instead! _________________

i agree with nemo, game workshops = no.
I used to buy pewter minis from them YEARS ago, but that's in the past. I would feel dirty doing it now. |

I agree with Kid, I had a pretty badass 5000 point army for Blood Angels that I use to play. But I recently went and looked at the updated codec and I can no longer use a few squardrons I have which roughly put me $300 in the hole. On the flip side though I loved the Dawn of War series. and I hope the DS game is similar. _________________

Games Workshop: I am indifferent. I don't have the patience for any kind of tabletop game like that.
Dawn of War: The best RTS I have ever played ever ever. I love it so hard. _________________ Goblins, Goblins, Goblins... |

That did used to be my favourite, but DoW beats it for me.
No mean feat I tell you. As far as storyline + single player goes, its WC3, but for online and multiplayer, its DoW FTW. ^^ _________________ Goblins, Goblins, Goblins... |
