OK, I doubt there's anything I can say about Halo 2 that you can't find in a million other places and haven't read 20 times by now... so how's this:
We should make a Comet7 Halo 2 clan, and (if possible) make the team logo some Comet7 art (little pink octopus or something).
Then he'd HAVE to get Xbox Live and stop being a cheap mofo. _________________ >>>-\-[games]-\-[journal]-\-[pictures]-\->>

It's not that I really have anything against xbox live...
It's just that, up until now, there hasn't really been anything that I needed enough to warrant getting a wireless routher and all the other hubbaloo to get my xbox online.
Halo 2 does look tasty.
And I FINALLY got around to beating it less than a month ago. How is that for finishing stuff in a timely manner?
(not very I suppose)

Beating what? The original Halo? I didn't find it all that impressive.
But the sequel looks pretty good. _________________ "The Highlander was a documentary, and the events happened in real time."

Yeah, you're right about the original Halo's single player not being all that great... despite the game being in development limbo for approximately 5 years. It went through many different iterations (RTS, 3rd person action) until it became an FPS, and they really did put the FINAL game together in about 5 months =/
But really, have you noticed how there's little to no mention of Halo 2 single player? All Bungie is talking about is multi, and it's working. Halo 2's storyline will be far more intricate than the originals... don't forget that Bungie themselves wrote the Halo Bible, from which all the books were birthed. They know they did wrong with single player the first time round, and they're MORE than making up for it this time.
I'm excited ^__^ _________________ >>>-\-[games]-\-[journal]-\-[pictures]-\->>

Roshi - aye, was talking about beating the first Halo just recently.
If the Halo 2 can add more enemy types, more stage variety, and get rid of the really repetetive stuff like the library and fighting the flood for an hour, then I will be really happy.
Oh yea, add more expansive outdoor areas too cause they were my favorite.
I think that Halo 2 (as well as some other games, notably the Tecmo stuff) all looks really, really plasticy, like all the characters are action figures. Has something to do with the texture/bump mapping or something.
That kinda irks me. _________________

A group of us around here are counting down to the release date, we still play Halo with four TVs and four xboxes sometimes, it's crazy. Sidewinder CTF to 3 that lasts hours!
sixteen-player FPS is good stuff. so yeah, we have high hopes. considering I (still) don't have an xbox and don't plan on getting one, I haven't played much of the single-player. |

I'm surprised there isn't more talk of this lately, with the release creeping up on us like wow.
I've yet to preorder, but we shall see... _________________

If I were to get Halo 2 I'd have to buy an X Box as well, and I don't have that kind of money.
Are there plans for a PC port? Cause the sequel definately looks like an improvement over the original. _________________ "The Highlander was a documentary, and the events happened in real time."

Agreed. Halo was overhyped(though I think the second looks good), Fable was a letdown to me, and Oddworld Stranger, one of the few games that I've been looking forward to on the X Box, is going multiconsole anyways. _________________ "The Highlander was a documentary, and the events happened in real time."

As I said at TNL I find it really funny how crazy everyone is going on about Halo 2 being leaked when this happens ALL THE TIME with tons of games and NO ONE cares then
it seems people only care about piracy when it effects a game they support
it just makes me laugh |
