Technically this isnt a "video" game, it's a random old computer game....

Does anyone remember the old school computer game "Day of the Tentacle"? It was made by LucasArts (Same people that did the wonderful Maniac Mansion). I used to play it when I was a bonny wee lass, and recall having to upload about 7 or 8 floppy disks, which was far too much for my coputer to handle in 1993, so the sound never worked.

Anyways. That game rocked my face off, and it starred two tentacles creating mayhem. Mav always reminded me of a cross between the Purple and Green tentacles, but lacking the arms they sprouted and flaunting his sexy, sexy eyes.

If you haven't played it, I suggest you hunt it down (I am fairly sure there was a CD rom version put out within the past decade).

It makes me tingle inside. I started playing DOTT when i was like 10 years old, and eventually refound it and actually finished it when I was like 16. It took me 6 freaking years to have a computer that was actually capable of supporting it.

.... Maybe Ill find it when I go home again and upload it on my compooper at school!

I'm very relieved that I wasnt the only one who has seen the glory of DOTT!

"Sam & Max Hit The Road" is wicked. it's too bad they cancelled the new Sam & Max game, and even the new Full Throttle.

but guess who can beat Maniac Mansion in under 20 minutes? me. eat it.

Kids, I think that we can all agree that the real issue here is what is better: Having eyes or having little hand/finger-less nubs for arms?

any lucasarts game is the best ever. Grim Fandango (I will finish it some day!) rocks my world. DOTT is great, but full throttle kicks all of their butts.

Full Throttle was awesome, but it was a little too easy. It's either Grim Fandango or Sam and Max Hit the Road as the #1 LucasArts adventure game evar.

I've played them all, too. Don't forget the Monkey Island series and Loom.

i loved Full Throttle's story, though. the characters were nicely designed, and the animation was superb.

and yeah, i might re-play Grim Fandango someday.

The atmosphere of Full Throttle was amazing. Awesome art style, great characters, and fantastic music (<3 Gone Jackals).

I love the little dun DUN riff everytime you got a new weapon during that motorcycle sequence.
