The track listing is sweet.
As is the game.
Though switching to Neversoft also gave (at least the ps2 version) the Tony Hawk traditions of really long load times (beat song, load time, slash walks on stage for 3 seconds, another load time, slash challenge starts), and butt ugly graphics (once again, ps2 only, its ugly).
But I digress, awesome song listing, and the game play is the same, so I can't really complain that much.
And even though I beat the other 3 entries all on Expert, I canNOT EVEN TOUCH "Through The Fire And Flames."
It destroys me.

is it just me or does it seem like they cranked the difficulty up on EVERYTHING? I mean, TTFAF is giving me absolutely 0% on Expert, and I had a hellacious time beating Lou's battle on HARD.
GH1, 2, and 80's, I almost breeze through on Expert. |

That sounds like a challenge to me. _________________ Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.

In that case I will not be getting a picture.
I might as well not have fingers doing that song on expert, I'd do about as well.
Oddly enough, I'm half way through on Hard, and the only thing I haven't 5 starred the first time I tried was "Barracuda."
Why is Expert such a slap in the face when Hard is totally fine for me?
Still, awesome setlist this time around.
I just wish Neversoft hadn't given the ps2 version the classic Tony Hawk traits of being butt ugly and filled with rediculous load times on EVERYTHING...

Yeah because guitar hero really needs super nice graphics right?
Although the load times are horrible. |

| It's one or the other. If you give me load times, better give me some incredible shit to look at, or make sure I get lots of gameplay for that load time. I hate games where you get loading screens every 5 seconds. |

the load times on the 360 are less than 4 or 5 seconds. In fact, it has some of the shortest load times ive seen on the 360 so far. _________________ Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.

I guess part of my problem with the graphics is the new art direction. I don't like how they changed many of the characters. Its not an appealing style.
And, no, GH doesn't need awesome graphics (and I still find GH3 incredibly fun), but 1, 2, and Rock the 80's had a certain enjoyable style to them. The style of GH3 is inferior. And so are the graphics for the ps2 version. Everything looks like it was textured for a N64 game, just like all the ps2 Tony Hawk games.
